“DEMONOLOGI DAN PELAYANAN PEMBEBASAN: DASAR TEOLOGIS BAGI EXORCISM DAN INNER HEALING”

This article examines the relationship between demonology and the ministry of deliverance within Christian theology, emphasizing the theological foundations of exorcism and inner healing as integral aspects of church ministry. Demonology is approached not as a means of magnifying the power of evil, but as a theological framework that situates demonic realities under the sovereignty of God. Through biblical and theological analysis, this study demonstrates that exorcism is firmly grounded in the ministry of Jesus Christ as a sign of the inbreaking Kingdom of God and the continuation of His redemptive work. Furthermore, exorcism is understood as a pastoral ministry oriented toward human restoration rather than as a mystical or magical practice. The article also highlights inner healing as a necessary dimension of deliverance ministry, particularly in addressing inner wounds and trauma that affect spiritual growth. By integrating perspectives from demonology, psychology, and pastoral wisdom, this study underscores the importance of discernment in distinguishing between spiritual affliction and psychological conditions. Ultimately, the article argues that a healthy and responsible understanding of demonology enables the church to practice exorcism and inner healing as expressions of holistic restoration, hope, and faithfulness to the Gospel in contemporary church ministry.
