Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan merumuskan respons etika teologis Kristen terhadap fenomena posthumanisme dan transhumanisme yang berkembang pesat dalam konteks kemajuan teknologi seperti kecerdasan buatan (AI), rekayasa genetika, prostetik pintar, dan digitalisasi tubuh. Perkembangan ini menantang pandangan tradisional teologi Kristen mengenai hakikat manusia, tubuh, keselamatan, dan martabat penciptaan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan teologi sistematis-konstruktif dan etika normatif Kristen, serta metode penelitian kualitatif berbasis studi literatur, artikel ini menelaah secara kritis konsep-konsep seperti imago Dei, keterbatasan kodrati, dan tubuh dalam terang inkarnasi dan kebangkitan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa transhumanisme, meskipun menawarkan visi utopis tentang manusia masa depan, cenderung mereduksi makna keselamatan dan mengabaikan dimensi spiritual dan moral manusia. Posthumanisme, di sisi lain, mengaburkan batas-batas identitas manusia dan penciptaan. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa teologi Kristen perlu mempertahankan batas-batas teologis yang kokoh namun tetap terbuka dalam membangun etika teknologi yang bertanggung jawab, dengan tetap menekankan kasih, martabat manusia, dan harapan eskatologis. Gereja diundang untuk menjadi suara profetik sekaligus partisipatif dalam perdebatan etis-teknologis kontemporer.
