Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of pastoral care in the process of releasing and healing individuals from spiritual and emotional bondage. The benefit of this research is to provide insights for the church in optimizing a holistic and effective pastoral approach. The method used was a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, which allowed the researcher to explore the subjective experiences of individuals in the context of this ministry. The research findings show that the release and healing ministry not only helps individuals feel freedom from negative influences, but also accelerates the process of emotional recovery and improves mental health. In addition, the study found that community involvement and social support are crucial in supporting individuals undergoing the recovery process. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that effective pastoral care in releasing and healing can bring significant transformation in the lives of congregants, helping them rediscover their identity and purpose in life. As such, churches are expected to apply these principles to strengthen their ministries and support congregation members in their spiritual journey.
