This article describes and analyzes the pastoral service practices of the Elders of the Protestant Evangelical Church in Timor (GMIT) Ekklesia Taneon-Funan in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The method used in data collection was interviews with participants consisting of one pastor, five elders, one BP3J, and four congregations. The data shows that the congregation's ministry practices face various challenges in terms of communication, sensitivity, and moral integrity. Communication barriers occur due to a lack of managerial skills in conveying information effectively, both to the congregation and within the congregation itself. In addition, the congregation's sensitivity in pastoral ministry still needs to be improved so that congregants who need attention can be dealt with immediately. In terms of integrity, there were cases of disciplinary violations and alcohol consumption among the church council. The theory used is the church service ethics of James E. Carter and Joe E. Trull. Based on the research analysis, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the congregation's ministry is highly dependent on their awareness and commitment to the principles of ministry ethics. To improve the quality of ministry, it is necessary to improve communication skills, pastoral responsibility, and the enforcement of church discipline based on love. Therefore, service ethics based on the principles of integrity, responsibility, and awareness of the call to serve must continue to be upheld to ensure effective and positive church ministry.
