This article discusses the impact of academic stress due to parental pressure on adolescents and the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral approach in addressing it. Academic stress caused by excessive parental expectations can significantly affect adolescents' mental and physical health as well as their academic performance. The cognitive-behavioral approach has been proposed as an effective intervention method to address this issue. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to problem analysis. The cognitive-behavioral approach focuses on identifying and changing maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors. This technique helps adolescents change their perceptions of academic demands, develop more adaptive coping strategies, and improve communication skills with parents. The results show that the cognitive-behavioral approach can help adolescents cope with academic stress by changing negative thought patterns, improving stress management skills, and building self-confidence. The role of parents is also emphasized in supporting the therapeutic process and creating an environment conducive to adolescent development. In conclusion, the cognitive-behavioral approach is a promising way to address adolescent school stress due to parental pressure, but further research is needed to develop more effective and targeted interventions.
