This study discusses the development of the congregational church government system in the KGPM Solagratia Kiawa Session, a church in Kiawa 1 Jaga 2 Village, North Kawangkoan District, Minahasa Regency. The research was conducted on June 16, 2024 using qualitative methods. The KGPM Church adheres to a system of congregational government, which emphasizes the autonomy of local congregations and democratic participation in decision-making. This system allows all members of the congregation to be involved in determining church leaders and programs through voting. This research also traces the history of the congregational system that began with the Puritanism movement in England and developed in the United States. Nonetheless, there are strengths and weaknesses in this system, including broad congregational participation and potential slowdowns in the decision-making process. The results of the study show that KGPM applies the basic principles of the congregation with an emphasis on collective responsibility and democracy in the management of the church.
