KESEHATAN MENTAL DALAM PERSPEKTIF TEOLOGI INJILI: INTEGRASI ANXIETY DAN IDENTITAS KRISTOLOGIS

Abstract

Mental-health issues in contemporary Indonesian society have increasingly attracted public attention, particularly due to the rising number of anxiety cases among adolescents and adults. Although psychology has offered a rich conceptual framework for understanding the dynamics of anxiety, theological reflectionespecially within the Evangelical traditionstill requires further development in order to engage the emotional struggles of individuals more holistically. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through library research to explore how Evangelical theology contributes to the understanding of mental health, with a specific focus on anxiety and Christological identity. An analysis of Indonesian literature in theology, psychology, and pastoral studies demonstrates that identity in Christ serves as an important interpretive framework that can support an individual’s emotional well-being. This research is expected to enrich Indonesian theological discourse on mental health and encourage churches to develop more comprehensive pastoral approaches.
